Date Posted: March 21, 2025

On March 17, 2025, the Paramount Human Resource Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PHRMPC) held its 19th General Assembly at the Parkway Village Covered Court in Barangay Apolonio Samson, Quezon City. The event brought together internal and external members from various departments nationwide, both in person and virtually via Zoom. Beyond the usual activity of electing a new board of directors, the event focused on the theme, “Building A Sustainable Tomorrow: Empowerment, Collaboration, and Innovation.”

Hosted by Mr. Patric Socias, Learning and Development Associate, the program began with fun and energizing games. Thanks to the dynamic opening, the smooth flow and high energy were maintained throughout the assembly. The importance of the General Assembly and its theme, which aligns with the cooperative’sgoal of expanding to 20,000 members was highlighted during the speech of Ms. Irene Adriano, Chairperson of the Election Committee, as she delivered a warm welcome to the attendees.

The incumbent officers were then presented, after which Ms. Maurice Tactay, Client and Member Welfare Marketing Officer, shared insights about the disengagement of previous clients and the engagement of newly acquired ones. She also expressed gratitude for the members’ hard work and dedication, acknowledging their contribution to the cooperative’s expanded client and membership base.

Highlights from the previous year were also delivered to the members, along with an outline of the developmental plans for 2025. These plans include increasing membership from 14,000 to 20,000, enhancing client-member engagement, implementing more advanced technologies for system upgrades, and pursuing the goal of deploying members internationally. As the event continued, the raffle draw took place—one of the most anticipated parts by the members. The lucky winners took home kitchenware, appliances, and personal items.

Right after this, Ms. Rodilyn Botenes, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the crucial role of each member in PHRMPC’s continued success and the importance of their feedback and participation.

Proceeding with the election proper, Mr. Kirby Macaraya, Vice Chairperson of the Election Committee, explained the entire process to the attendees. Using Google Forms, the members were able to easily cast their votes for the new board of directors. This method also enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of tallying the results moving forward.

The 19th General Assembly concluded with a renewed sense of unity and purpose among PHRMPC members, who pledged to work collaboratively towards achieving the cooperative’s goal of a sustainable and prosperous future. It has provided a platform for members to engage in discussions on key cooperative initiatives, including enhancing member engagement, technological advancement, sustainable growth initiatives, and the election of new board members.

PHRMPC remains committed to providing skilled individuals and improving the lives of its members and the broader community, as the cooperative continues to fulfill its vision: ‘We are People, Helping People.’
