The PhilHealth YAKAP was officially launched through a meaningful collaboration between the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Paramount Human Resource Multi-Purpose Cooperative (HRMPC). The event aimed to strengthen the promotion of accessible, inclusive, and affordable healthcare services for Filipino workers and cooperative members.

The launch highlighted the importance of the YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program), one of PhilHealth’s major initiatives that ensures every Filipino has access to quality health services. This partnership with DOLE and Paramount HRMPC reflects a shared advocacy to empower workers by enhancing their knowledge of health benefits and encouraging them to actively participate in programs that promote overall well-being.

As part of the event, Paramount members were given the opportunity to register and experience various health-related activities. The program included the PhilHealth YAKAP Orientation, which provided participants with detailed information on their rights, entitlements, and coverage under PhilHealth. It also featured the First Patient Encounter, where members availed of initial medical consultations facilitated by The Med Club Health Group Inc., one of the accredited YAKAP clinics.

To further extend health access, the CGD Medical Depot participated as the official Gamot Facility, ensuring that members received proper medical support and medications during the event. Another highlight was the on-site processing and printing of PhilHealth Identification Cards, enabling members to conveniently update and activate their PhilHealth records.

Throughout the activity, participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to learn more about their health benefits and experience firsthand the services available through the YAKAP Program. The event also served as an avenue for members to engage directly with PhilHealth representatives and partner institutions, fostering awareness and trust in the country’s universal healthcare system.
